Wash and Glow — Hammock Bay, Naples FLRoof Cleaning at Hammock Bay — High-Rise, Coach Homes, Salt Exposure Hammock Bay sits three miles south of our yard on the Marco Island side of the bridge. It is a mixed community — tower residences, coach homes and single-family villas around the golf course — and the roof work here varies more than anywhere else we service. What every property at Hammock Bay shares is **exposure**. Open water on two sides, constant onshore breeze, and salt deposition that builds a film on every horizontal surface. Salt holds moisture against tile and metal, which accelerates both biological growth and coating breakdown. 2-Year Clean Guarantee — In Writing, No Dodgy Small Print If visible biological growth returns to your Hammock Bay roof within 2 years of our soft wash, we come back and re-clean at no charge. Written on the invoice. Salt Film · Wind Exposure · Mixed ProductWhat Salt Air Does to a Hammock Bay Roof ### ✓ Salt film holds moisture where algae wants it Salt is hygroscopic — it pulls and holds water. A salt-filmed roof stays damp between rains instead of drying, which extends the window Gloeocapsa has to grow. Removing the film is as much of the job here as killing the colony. ### ✓ Surfactant load calibrated for salt, not just algae Bleach alone beads off a salt-filmed tile. The surfactant drops surface tension so the chemistry actually wets into the pore structure rather than running off. An inland operator does not carry the load this needs. ### ✓ Coach home and villa roofs are the practical work We handle the single-family and coach home product directly. Tower roofs are association-managed and generally outside a homeowner's control — if you are in a tower, the lanai, screens and glass are where we can help. ### ✓ Wind-driven rinse discipline Constant breeze means overspray drift is a real risk near pool decks, cars and neighbouring units. We rinse with the wind rather than against it and cover what needs covering. On a tight coach home site that matters. We soft wash at under 100 PSI with chemistry that kills the algae at the root — that's why our 2-year guarantee actually holds. If a competitor offers a longer guarantee, ask them to put it in writing on the invoice. We do.” — Blane Perun & Jonathan Corcoran, owners · we answer the phone personally Questions, Answered ProperHammock Bay Roof Cleaning · The Groovy FAQ Does salt air really change the job?Yes. Salt film holds moisture against the roof so growth returns sooner, and it makes chemistry bead off rather than wet in. We adjust the surfactant load for it. A standard inland mix underperforms here. I am in one of the towers. Can you help? The tower roof is association-managed, but your lanai, screen enclosure, railings and glass are yours — and salt film shows on all of it. That is the work we do for tower residents. How often on a waterfront-exposed roof? Two years. Exposure here runs harder than inland Naples and we would rather set the expectation correctly up front. Is overspray a risk on a tight coach home site?It is, which is why we rinse with the prevailing wind and cover cars, pool cages and neighbouring entries as standard rather than on request. What does it cost?Coach homes and villas typically $299–$599 depending on size, pitch and access. Firm written price after we look at it.
